IDIBELL is looking for a Scientific Project Manager for the Colorrectal Cancer Unit
About the research group
The Colorectal Cancer (CRC) research group is focussed on discovering and validating new molecular signatures for diagnosis, prognosis and prediction, and identifying and optimising new therapeutic targets and molecular classifications of CRC, using an integromics approach, combining knowledge of genetic epidemiology, data bioinformatics and pharmacology.
About the role
- Search for grant opportunities: international and national calls to finance projects
- Drafting, preparation and presentation of projects proposals either for national and international calls.
- Management of international and national projects: scientific and financial monitoring, team coordination, development of scientific-technical and financial reports, contact with project partners and funding agencies.
- Taking scientific-technical decisions in the execution of projects.
- Preparation of intermediate and final reports of the projects.
- Contact person with the ICO and IDIBELL Pre and Post Award grant offices, as well as with national and international financial institutions
Job requirements
Professional experience
- Experience: it is required to have at least six years of experience in research project management and translational research: fundraising, writing and managing research projects, monitoring projects and writing documents including reports.
- Experience in cancer research.
- Experience in writing scientific articles.
- Experience in coordinating European projects (H2020, Horizon Europe or similar)
Education and training
- PhD in biomedical sciences or related disciplines.
Technical skills
- Technical skills: Office package, medical and scientific literature search, EndNote.
- Personal skills teamwork, initiative, proactivity, results orientation, detail orientation, excellent communication skills.
Languages
- Languages: Advanced level of English.
